My name is Becca Boelk and I am a Speech and Language Pathologist at Moreland Arts and Health Sciences Magnet School. I work with students attending kindergarten through fourth grade, in the areas of articulation, language, speech fluency, and voice. I love being a part of the Moreland community, and thoroughly enjoy working with students and their families. I received a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and obtained a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I also hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I live in West Saint Paul with my husband, daughter, and our dog. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, swimming, hiking, traveling, gardening, and reading.
My name is Dawn Halverson, and I am working with students with disabilities in kindergarten through fourth grade at Moreland Arts & Health Sciences Magnet School. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education, also from Winona State University.
I have worked in Prior Lake-Savage and Burnsville Schools previously before coming to School District 197. Although I am originally from Wisconsin, I am an avid fan of both the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins! I live in Inver Grove Heights, and when I am not in school, I enjoy spending time at home reading, cooking, and hanging out with my son, Jacob. My absolute favorite thing to do though is to travel with my son, and we have visited many exciting places like Walt Disney World, Alaska, Yellowstone National Park, and several other national parks. I am really excited to be working at Moreland and getting to know our students and their families!
