Junior Achievement Day at Moreland
Junior Achievement (JA) volunteers from Thomson Reuters spent a day with Moreland students sharing the JA mission, which is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. They do this by providing schools with age appropriate, volunteer delivered curriculum that focuses on business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics/character, financial literacy and work career/life skills. Students created new products, mapped out business plans and discussed life's wants versus needs.

Meet Mrs. Besch
I am very excited to be part of the second grade team at Moreland. I graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a degree in Elementary Education. I spent some time along with my husband helping to raise our four children and then returned to school and received a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, La—Crosse. I have worked for the past four years as a 2-3 teacher. Prior to that I worked as a substitute teacher for many years. I enjoy spending my time in the enthusiastic and energetic company of second grade students but when I am at home I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to getting to know the Moreland community!
