Photo - Boy on the playgroundThe parents and guardians of children who will enter kindergarten in 2018-19 are invited to learn more about Moreland Arts & Health Sciences Magnet School at our upcoming Showcase event:

Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 14 at 9 a.m.

Take a tour of the school, meet the principal and hear about our rigorous arts and health studies curriculum which combines energy and creativity to boost academic achievement for all students.

Students at Moreland are encouraged to be active, eat well and participate in many types of art – visual arts, music, theater and dance. Research shows that students who are involved in regular exercise and have healthy diets are better able to learn. Additionally, arts are a proven way to boost academic achievement.

At Moreland, we are proud of our:

  • Visually exciting atmosphere that supports each child’s creativity, including an art gallery in the school’s entrance, a dance studio and a piano studio.
  • Indoor running track and rock wall which encourage healthy movement.
  • Caring staff who are focused and intentional with students, helping them grow, explore and ask questions.
  • Group projects and learning experiences that emphasize cooperative learning.
  • Academically rigorous classes that meet state standards.
  • Moreland parents who are engaged and involved — offering thousands of hours of help and expertise each year.
  • Many Community Partners which offer services and support for students.
If you have any questions, please call the Moreland main office at 651-403-7800.
