SPARKS classes are enrichment classes related to our arts and health sciences magnet theme that are offered throughout the school year during the regular school day. All Moreland students choose a SPARKS class that they are interested in after they have reviewed the “course catalog” with their teacher and family. We have both fall and spring sessions of SPARKS classes. At the conclusion of each SPARKS session students have the opportunity to share what they have learned and created in their SPARKS classes during a community Museum Night.
Moreland’s Kindness Patrol is a group of 4th graders who, under guidance of our school counselor, strive to make Moreland a caring and welcoming learning environment for all. For more information on the Moreland Kindness Patrol please contact Steph Casmer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 651-403-7860.
LIVEGREEN is the district wide sustainability program that promotes energy saving and recycling initiatives. Each school throughout the district has a LIVEGREEN team.

To help students do their very best at Moreland, we have implemented PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support, to promote positive behavior. PBIS is a school-wide system of support that includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments.
